Choosing a liftgate
Start with three questions: what truck or body is it going on, how heavy is your heaviest single load, and how do you load (dock, ground, both)? The answers point to the liftgate type and capacity.

How the G2 works
Tommy Gate describes the G2 Series as parallel-arm, with dual hydraulic cylinders applying power to both sides of the platform.
Owning one
- Run the maker’s daily checks — Maxon’s C2 operation manual starts with “Recommended daily operation checks” and says to keep the manual in the cab.
- Register it: Tommy Gate asks owners to register within 30 days of purchase.
- Never exceed the rated capacity on the platform decal.
