We walk through bed type, steel or aluminum, toolbox layout, hitch and lighting so the bed fits how you work.

FAQ
Truck bed questions
What’s the difference between a flatbed and a platform body?
In the CM lineup, flatbeds such as the RD, SK and ER come in lengths from 84″ to 11′4″ with a headache rack, rear skirt and hitch options. Platform bodies like the CM PL and AL PL are longer — 12′, 14′, 16′ or 18′ — for bigger cab-and-chassis trucks. Tell us your truck and we’ll point you to the right one.
Should I choose steel or aluminum?
CM builds both. Steel models use a 1/8″ treadplate deck; aluminum (AL) models use an extruded aluminum floor, and CM positions its aluminum beds around fuel economy, payload and corrosion resistance. We’ll help you weigh payload, budget and how the truck is used.
Can you install a bed on a truck I already own?
Yes. Truck bed sales and installation is a core part of what we do — bring your truck to our Commerce City shop and we’ll handle the install.
Can you help me find the truck, too?
Yes. We work with commercial dealers across Colorado to source new and used trucks, and you can browse our current vehicle inventory.
Can you add a liftgate, lights or toolboxes?
Yes. We install liftgates from Tommy Gate and Maxon, plus lighting, power inverters, toolboxes, pumps and other accessories as part of the same build.
